David Suchet (born 2nd May 1946) portrays Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's Poirot. Suchet took the role of Poirot in 1989. He was expressed him wish to finish all the Agatha Christie's Poirot novels. With confirmation of a thirteenth series, he has received his wish. This series will finish the novels after which Suchet will resign. He has said he has no interest in performing Poirots that are not original novels.[1]

He will be appearing inLong Day's Journey into Night in London's West End from 3 April. This seminal classic by Eugene O'Neill is a gripping and heartbreaking semi-autobiographical account of his family's battles with addictions at the turn of the 20th century. Suchet will play the family's patriarch, James Tyrone, a struggling, alcoholic actor.
